These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the TV Remote: Universal Control app (the "App") and the website remotetvuniversal.com, provided by Octopus Internet Technology Co., Limited. By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms.
License
We grant you a personal, limited, non‑exclusive, non‑transferable and revocable licence to use the App for your own non‑commercial purposes, in accordance with these Terms and the Apple App Store Terms of Service.
Subscriptions and billing
- The App is free to download and offers optional auto‑renewing subscriptions to unlock Premium features.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel a subscription at any time in your iPhone Settings under your Apple ID. Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription.
Acceptable use
- Use the App only with devices you own or are authorised to control.
- Do not reverse‑engineer, modify, or attempt to disrupt or misuse the App.
- Do not use the App for any unlawful purpose.
Compatibility and trademarks
TV Remote works with a wide range of smart TVs, but we cannot guarantee compatibility with every model, firmware version or network configuration. All product names, logos and brands — including Samsung, LG, Sony, Roku, Fire TV, Vizio, Hisense and TCL — are the property of their respective owners and are used for identification and compatibility purposes only. This App is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any TV manufacturer.
Disclaimer of warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non‑infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error‑free, or compatible with every device.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the App.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
